Siliguri: On the evening of 16.5.2022 in course of regular Naka checking at 2.5 Mile Check Post by Bhakti Nagar Traffic Guard and Bhakti Nagar Police Station one vehicle bearing Sikkim Registration number was searched.
During search 72 strips of contraband Winspasmo Forte tablets each strip containing 8 tablets with a total of 576Tablets and 12 bottles of Oneerex Cough Syrup was recovered from the possession of the driver Saran Pradhan of Namchi, Sikkim which was kept concealed in the dashboard of the vehicle.
The accused driver has been arrested and taken into custody, and the vehicle seized.
A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been started at Bhakti Nagar Police Station.
