Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh, July 14: In a major breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Kabirdham Police have arrested two interstate ganja smugglers from Rajasthan and seized 1.20 quintals of ganja being transported in a truck with a specially designed secret chamber.
Acting on a tip-off and under the direction of senior officials, the police conducted a targeted operation and intercepted the vehicle. Upon inspection, they discovered the consignment cleverly concealed inside a hidden compartment within the truck body.
The two accused, both residents of Rajasthan, were taken into custody on the spot. The seized truck and ganja have been taken into evidence, and further investigation is underway to trace the larger smuggling network.
