Andhra Pradesh, Kakinada: In a commendable step toward environmental sustainability, the Kakinada District Police, under the leadership of District SP Shri G. Bindu Madhav, IPS, organized a cleanliness and sapling plantation drive at the District Police Office premises this morning.
As part of the initiative, the premises were thoroughly cleaned, and saplings were planted to enhance greenery and promote eco-awareness. District police officials were also directed to responsibly dispose of expired and damaged electronic and electrical items by handing them over to municipal authorities, ensuring environmentally safe waste management.
This initiative is part of an ongoing district-wide campaign across all police stations and offices in Kakinada, reinforcing the police department’s commitment to environmental protection.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from senior officers including Additional SP (Administration) Shri MJV Bhaskara Rao, Additional SP AR Shri Srinivasa Rao, Kakinada SDPO Shri Manish Devaraj Patil, IPS, Training ASP Kumari Susmita, IPS, DSP AR Shri Srihari, Reserve Inspectors Shri Venkata Rao and Shri Narasimha Murthy, along with Urban Traffic Inspectors and police staff.
This green initiative not only reflects the commitment of the police department to community welfare but also inspires citizens to take part in preserving the environment.
