Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, July 9 : Under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Sri G. Bindu Madhav, IPS, the Kakinada District Police have intensified surveillance and enforcement against the illegal sale of tobacco and harmful substances near schools, aiming to protect the health and well-being of students.
As part of this initiative, police teams are conducting sensitive checks at pawn shops, grocery stores, and petty outlets near educational institutions. Strict action is being taken under the law against shop owners found selling unauthorized or dangerous substances to minors.
In parallel, the police are actively promoting awareness among students through the formation of Eagle Clubs in schools. These clubs serve as student-led platforms to spread awareness on health, safety, and legal literacy. SP Bindu Madhav has also directed officers and school authorities to engage with students directly.
Principals, teachers, and police personnel are visiting schools, interacting with Eagle Club members, and encouraging student participation in building a safe and drug-free academic environment.
This initiative underscores the Kakinada Police’s commitment to nurturing a healthy and informed young generation, while maintaining vigilance against threats that endanger their future.
