Chennai: Alert Kanchipuram Police have arrested three persons Srinivasan, Babu and Appu accused in connection with murder of Lyricist Imayam Ravi at Orikkai area, the arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody. According to Kanchipuram Police, the incident took place on the night of January 11, when Ravi returned after overseeing the preparation works ahead of actor Vijay’s Bairavaa movie release. Imayam Ravi (48) flagged an auto to travel near Guduvanchery following which three persons stepped out of the auto and suddenly started attacking him. The three gang members then strangulated Ravi to death and disposed his body at Palar river basin near Orikkai. Police recovered Imayam Ravi’s body on January 12 with injuries all over his body. Ravi’s wallet, Cell phone and watch were robbed by the gang. The accused were in an inebriated condition, they attacked Ravi thinking that he could have more valuables and when Ravi resisted they started to attack and strangulated him to death, Police said.]]>
