Bangalore : Kempegowda International Airport police have arrested two Bangladeshi nationals who had come to Bangalore using fake passports.
The accused have been identified as Liaquat Ali and Rizal Sheikh. Both of them had come to Bangalore from Singapore on Friday in an Indigo flight. During the immigration check, the officials discovered that the two people had come to the city using fake passports.
While Ali changed his name to Liaquat Sheikh in the fake passport, Rizal Sheikh changed his name to Reagan Sheikh, an official said.
Based on a complaint by a Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRO) officer, Section 12 (1A) (a) of the Passport Act (applying for a passport or obtaining a passport by concealing information about his nationality or possessing a forged passport or any travel document ) and 14 (a) (a) (entering any territory of India), the police have registered a case and are investigating.
