Karnataka : Kodagu police has seized hashish worth Rs 10 lakh. Hashish was seized from three drug peddlers and the accused had 1.16 kg of the drug at the Karike-Kerala border.
Addressing a press conference about this incident in Madikeri, SP MA Ayyappa informed that the accused who were carrying drugs were found while checking at the check post as usual at the Karike border.
Azmad Kabir (37), Abdul Khader (27) and Mohammad Muzmil (22) of Kasaragod district have been arrested.
Investigators said that the accused were trying to sell hashish to customers in Kodagu. Among the arrested, Ahmed Kabir has a criminal background and has pending cases at Bekal police station in Kerala district, officials said.
