Thrissur: In Thrissur, Hirat (23 years old), a resident of Kanjirathinkal in Mutichur, a notorious gangster known as Padiyam, was apprehended and placed under arrest by Anthikad police. He faces charges in approximately 15 cases, including two attempted murder cases, as well as offenses related to selling ganja and assaulting the police. Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act(KAPPA) pressed charges against him while he was out on bail for attempting to kill a youth named Nimesh in Muttichur. Acting on the recommendation from Thrissur Rural District Police Chief Navneet Sharma IPS, the detention order was issued by Thrissur District Collector Krishna Teja IAS. The key roles in apprehending Kappa and arresting Hirat were played by Anthikkad police station inspector P.K Das, sub-inspector Shaju, and senior civil police officers Arun Balan and Anish.
