Accidents resulting from mobile phones exploding have been recently reported, emphasizing the importance of handling these devices with utmost care. Whether in the hands of adults or around babies, there are several crucial factors to consider regarding mobile phone safety. Recognizing early signs of potential issues can help prevent major accidents.

Smartphones typically utilize lithium-ion batteries with positive and negative electrodes. If any component of the battery fails, it can impact the entire phone. Therefore, paying attention to initial indications of a faulty mobile phone is crucial. Signs may include excessive heat during usage, quick battery drainage, and extended charging times.

Even minor or major drops can cause damage to mobile phones. If a phone is dropped, it is advisable to take it to a service center for a thorough check before using it again. Otherwise, water or sweat may enter the battery through cracks in the phone, such as the display or other openings. Using a faulty mobile phone can be dangerous.

In today’s market, fast charging adapters are readily available. However, it is important to exercise caution when selecting these chargers. It is generally best to use chargers that come with the smartphones themselves. Utilizing high-powered chargers can place additional stress on the battery, potentially leading to adverse effects on the mobile phone. Similarly, using duplicate chargers or alternative batteries instead of the original can pose security challenges and increase the risk of overheating and explosions.

If a mobile phone suddenly becomes hotter than usual during use, it is advisable to set it aside. If it is being charged, it is better to switch it off and remove it from the charger. When driving, it is safer to use a power bank instead of connecting the phone directly to the car’s charging adapter. Adapters and wiring in vehicles may not always provide optimal safety, and the power difference can potentially damage the mobile phone battery.

Some individuals have a habit of leaving their mobile phones charging overnight, which is not recommended. It is not necessary to keep the phone connected to the charger until it reaches 100% charge every time. Disconnecting it at around 90% charge is sufficient and can help prolong battery life. Overcharging the phone for extended periods can damage the battery.

During the charging process, it is important to avoid exposing the mobile phone to direct heat sources such as sunlight or other forms of heat. Placing objects on top of the phone while charging should also be avoided. Additionally, it is not advisable to charge mobile phones using power strips or extensions, as this may lead to a risk of short circuits.

In the event of any malfunctions or issues with smartphones, it is recommended to approach the company’s authorized service centers for assistance. Entrusting the repair to a non-certified shop can significantly increase the risks involved. By paying attention to these small but crucial details, we can eliminate potential dangers associated with mobile phone usage.
