Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police has said that precautions need to be taken and one should avoid throwing a used mask carelessly on the road or other public places as this can cause environmental contamination and infectious diseases. The virus that is in the mask can spread to another person who comes in contact with a used mask lying in the road or other public places. This will also be the reason for the spread of infectious diseases that could lead to being fatal if not treated in the early stages.
