Kannur, Kerala: In a commendable initiative, the Kerala Police has launched the Digital De-Addiction Centre (D-DAD) to address the growing concern of mobile and internet addiction among children. The project aims to provide timely intervention for children struggling with issues such as excessive anger, depression, learning difficulties, violent behavior, and suicidal tendencies — often linked to digital overexposure.
Through D-DAD, affected children will receive professional therapy, counseling, and structured guidance, helping them break free from digital dependency and regain emotional and psychological well-being. Importantly, the identities and personal information of all children availing the service will be kept strictly confidential.
Parents or guardians seeking support can reach out to the D-DAD centre by contacting 9497900200.
This initiative reflects the Kerala Police’s commitment to safeguarding the mental health and future of the younger generation.
