Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: In a citizen-friendly initiative to ensure safety during the Onam holidays, the Kerala Police have urged the public to make use of the ‘Locked House Information’ feature available on the official Pol-App.
Residents who plan to travel and leave their homes locked can register their details in the app, after which the police will conduct special surveillance around their house and neighborhood. The monitoring will be provided for up to 14 days, offering additional security and peace of mind to families during the festive season.
On the day of travel, citizens are required to enter details such as the house location, house name, and contact information of relatives or nearby neighbors into the app. The Pol-App is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
This initiative underscores the Kerala Police’s commitment to community safety and their proactive approach in preventing thefts and ensuring a secure festive atmosphere.
