Bilaspur: Mr. Rajanesh Singh, Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur, announced the “Khaki Ki Shaan” program on Independence Day, 15 August 2024. The primary aim of this program is to keep police officers and employees vigilant in their duties and responsibilities, inspiring them to perform their roles with a sense of human empathy. During the event, held at Bilasa Gudi Sabha Grih, 13 officers and employees were honored for their outstanding and exemplary work. The program was attended by officers, employees, and members of social service organizations from the district.
Award recipients and their commendable contributions include:
Inspector Ravindra Kumar Anant and Sub Inspector Ram Naresh Yadav were awarded for their excellent investigation in the murder case of a wife and three children by the accused, Umendra Kewat, in Hirri village under Thana Masturi, leading to the accused being sentenced to death.
Sub Inspector Krishna Sahu was awarded for arresting accused individuals who had been absconding for six years after committing fraud in the name of a chit fund company.
Sub Inspector Umashankar Pandey was awarded for his significant contributions in promoting traffic awareness.
Assistant Sub Inspector Awadhesh Singh was awarded for the seizure of a large quantity of drugs used for intoxication, resulting in the accused being sentenced to 15 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1.5 lakh.
Head Constable Jaitram Kashyap was awarded for his dedication and hard work in gathering crucial intelligence.
Head Constable Prafull Singh Thakur was awarded for his sensible actions in responding to a trailer accident involving 13 cattle in Sipat.
Head Constable Aatish Parik, Constable Naveen Ekka, and Constable Tadbir Porte were awarded for their commendable work in tracing accused individuals in cases of theft, burglary, robbery, and pickpocketing within the district.
Constable Basant Manikpuri was awarded for exemplifying human sensitivity by safely rescuing innocent children, women, and elderly individuals from a submerged house in Limha village, Ratanpur area.
