Hyderabad: On 10.07.2024, at 11:30 hrs, Smt. Habeeb Unissa, wife of Riyaz Uddin Kalandar, aged 26 years, residing in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, filed a complaint at the Mirchowk Police Station stating that her 6-month-old baby had been kidnapped and requested assistance in finding and returning her child. According to her complaint, the incident occurred on 10.07.2024, at 09:00 hrs, at the MGBS Outgate Sulabh Toilet, Mirchowk, Hyderabad.
Smt. Habeeb Unissa reported that on 09.07.2024, Noorjahan Begum, wife of Mohammed Adil, aged 20 years, and Mohammed Adil, son of Mohammed Ibadullah, aged 23 years, both residents of Sanga Reddy, Telangana, had approached her at Barashaheed Dargah, Nellore. She stated that these individuals gained her trust by offering her a nursing job in Hyderabad and convinced her to travel with them. Upon reaching Hyderabad, Noorjahan Begum and Mohammed Adil sent her to freshen up at the Sulabh Complex near the MGBS Bus Stand and then kidnapped her 6-month-old boy.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Mirchowk Police Station on 10.07.2024, and an investigation was launched. The accused were identified as Nasreen Begum, wife of Ajmeer, aged 28 years, Noorjahan Begum, wife of Mohammed Adil, aged 20 years, and Mohammed Adil, son of Mohammed Ibadullah, aged 23 years, all residents of Sanga Reddy, Telangana. During interrogation, it was revealed that Nasreen Begum had been encouraging Noorjahan Begum and Mohammed Adil to kidnap a child, promising them shelter and assistance in return, and that they had executed the crime.
The Mirchowk Police, under the supervision of senior officers, deployed multiple teams and arrested the accused. Their persistent efforts led to the successful rescue of the kidnapped child and the apprehension of the suspects. The investigating officers, Mr. P. Arunoday, Sub-Inspector of Police, and Mr. L. Narsimha, Sub-Inspector of Police, both from Mirchowk Police Station, Hyderabad City, Telangana State, were commended for their efforts. Senior officers, including Mrs. Sneha Mehra, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Hyderabad, and others, appreciated the Mirchowk Police team for apprehending the accused and recovering the child.
