Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: In a swift crackdown on street crime, the Nagar North Police Station arrested three persons involved in a knife-point robbery case and secured preventive detention orders against two habitual offenders under the Goondas Act.
The accused — Dev Sathish Kumar (47) of Deiva Sikamanipuram, Kuruvi Saravanan alias Saravanakumar (40) of Jawagar Nagar, and Kanna alias Jayakrishna Kannan (22) of Pudupatti — were arrested on 14.01.2026 for allegedly threatening an auto driver with a knife and extorting money within the limits of Nagar North Police Station. Another accused, Ajith Surender (25) of Round Road Puthur, was also apprehended in connection with the case. All were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
