Kohima: On 12/09/2020 at around 0300 Hours, the Highway Patrol Team of Kohima Police while on routine patrolling along NH29, intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. UP-21CN-0657 and on a thorough search of the vehicle recovered 260 kg of contraband ganja worth approximately Rs. 15 lakhs.
The diver along with the other occupant namely; Md. Sgalin aged 32 years, son of Rosil Ahmed, Village, PO, Hashanpur Police Station, Amruha District, Uttar Pradesh, and Sophen aged 20 years, son of Yaku Ilai, Village, PO, Hashanpur Police Station, Amruha District, Uttar Pradesh were arrested for illegal transportation of contraband ganja.
The vehicle along with the contraband ganja was seized and a case has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) Police Station for further investigation.
