Kottayam: Abhijith KA (21) alias Anilkumar Makan Obama was arrested by Etumanoor police at Athirampuzha Onam Thurut Kadalimattam Thalakkal house. He threatened Anas, a native of Ernakulam, took his Aadhaar card and driving license from him, took the password of his Google Pay account, used it to transfer money from Anas’s account, then took him in an auto-rickshaw and dropped him at Etumanoor bus stand.
Anujith Kumar alias Kochachu, one of the accused in this case, was arrested yesterday by the investigation team led by the District Police Chief. Then the search for the co-accused Abhijith was intensified and he was caught by the police from Thodupuzha Muttam area. He has many cases of ganja trafficking, attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons in Etumanoor, Kattururthi and Melukav stations. Under the leadership of District Police Chief Mr. K. Karthik IPS, Etumanoor SHO Mr. Rajesh Kumar and his team caught the accused. He was produced in the court and remanded.
