Kottayam, Kerala, October 21: As part of the Police Commemoration Day observance, a blood donation camp was organized at the Kottayam Police Club at 10 a.m. on October 21, 2025, under the joint auspices of the Kottayam District Police and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
The camp was inaugurated by Kottayam District Police Chief Mr. Shahulhameed A., IPS, who highlighted the importance of honoring the memory of police martyrs through acts of public service and compassion.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Police Chief said, “Police Commemoration Day is not only a time to remember the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty but also an opportunity to serve society in meaningful ways. Donating blood is a noble gesture that symbolizes life, unity, and service.”
A large number of police officers, staff members, and IMA doctors participated in the camp, donating blood with enthusiasm and a spirit of solidarity. The initiative aimed to promote the value of humanitarian service and reflect the commitment of the police to the welfare of society beyond their call of duty.
