Kozhikode: The Kozhikode control room police officers patrolling the river near Kundamangalam Markaz rescued the boy and the woman who had come to rescue the child who had slipped and fallen while bathing in the Poonur river. The first is 13-year-old Naja Fatima, after falling into the water, a woman named Kunju jumped into the water to save the child, but they could not swim.
The boy’s father, Shhood, went to the rescue, but they could not finish. SI Mr. Subodh Lal Prashant, Mr. Sajeesh, the CPO on hearing the commotion, came to their rescue. Mr. Sajeesh, the CPO, rushed Najma to the hospital after learning that Najma had gone into the water. Two lives were saved through the timely intervention of police officers.
