Trichy: Suspected to be the mastermind behind in Lalithaa Jewellery at Trichy heist ‘Tiruvarur’ Murugan, surrendered in a Bengaluru court in Karnataka on Friday. Trichy city police are in the planning to take him into charge for investigation.
In Tiruvarur district, of Seera Thoppu Suspected Murugan (50) nickname Sivakumar (a) Siva (a) Balamurugan (a) Tiruvarur Murugan, surrendered before the 11th additional chief metropolitan magistrate (ACMM) court at Bengaluru city on yesterday in associate with another criminal case pending with the Bengaluru police.
Murugan is one of the dreaded robbers in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The news of his surrender camped Trichy police in Bengaluru, alerted their units.
Last Thursday, P Suresh(28), Murugan’s nephew, surrendered before a judicial magistrate court 1 at Chengam in Tiruvannamalai district. He was arrested in judicial imprisonment till October 14 and caught in the Trichy Central Prison.
Trichy city A Amalraj, Commissioner of Police (CoP) said, “We will work on the process to get the two into our (police) custody for enquiry.”
By various teams of police on the investigation, they surrendered in the courts.
