Tirunelveli: The revised three Acts, mandated by the Central Government, are set to be enforced starting July 1, 2024. A series of five-day training sessions will be organized for police officers across different sections. These sessions will focus on comprehensively understanding the three key Acts: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (from IPC to BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (from CrPC to BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adiniyam (from IEA to BSA). On May 13, 2024, a legal explanation class was conducted under the direction of Mr. Balachandran, the Additional Superintendent of Police for the Tirunelveli District. The session took place at the Tirunelveli District Armed Forces Office, with participation from Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Thangakrishnan, Superintendent of Police Mr. N. Silambarasan, along with Deputy Superintendent of Police (SJHR) Mr. Jayaraj and Deputy Superintendent of Police (PEW) Mr. Meenakshi Nathan. District Police Inspectors, Assistant Inspectors, and Special Assistant Inspectors were also present at the special class, overseen by Deputy Superintendent of Police (PEW) Mr. Meenakshi Nathan.
