Tamil Nadu, Madurai: A legal awareness meeting was organized in Usilampatti, Madurai, to educate goat breeders on preventing goat theft and curbing criminal activities. The Tamil Nadu Goat Breeders Protection Association conducted the meeting at a private hall under the chairmanship of Usilampatti DSP Chandrasekaran and the association’s State General Secretary, Advocate Saravanan.
The discussion focused on addressing the recurring issue of goat theft in the Madurai district, implementing precautionary measures, and enhancing cooperation with the police to mitigate criminal activities. DSP Chandrasekaran emphasized the importance of installing proper surveillance cameras in goat enclosures and encouraging the children of goat breeders to pursue education and aspire for government jobs.
Additionally, the meeting included a legal awareness session in collaboration with the police, highlighting the dangers of drug trafficking, including ganja, and promoting efforts to create a drug-free Tamil Nadu.
