Rachakonda: Today DGP Mr. Mahender Reddy IPS., has made a surprise visit to the Nagole check post functioning for enforcement of lockdown and interacted with CP Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, DCP Traffic, DCP LB Nagar, and officers on creations of zone wise holding areas for checking of violators in long stretches. The DGP said the Public needs to cooperate with the Police in the enforcement of lockdown at the field level. All essential services are allowed to operate.
Speaking to the media the DGP stated that the lockdown will be implemented strictly. All the lockdown enforcement actions of Police are intended to break the chain of virus spread and safeguard the public from the pandemic. He further stated that Police are permitting the movements of staff of essential services, emergency services, doctors, and other paramedical staff on producing valid identity proofs. Online food delivery services are allowed as well. DGP requested the public not to come out of their homes unless they have a genuine reason and warned that persons who wander on roads without proper reason will face serious actions legally and their vehicles will be seized. All the seized vehicles will only be returned post lockdown.
The DGP sought cooperation from the public to support the initiative taken by the state government to get over the pandemic. He advised everyone to stay home and be safe. He commended Rachakonda Police for their tireless efforts in enforcing lockdown and for performing duties on roads round the clock. RKSC Traffic Marshals too participated in checking & interacted with DGP Telangana.
Rachakonda CP Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has participated in vehicle checking at Shivaji Chowk, Balapur with Balapur officers. CP has asked citizens to cooperate with the police, not to violate lockdown and genuine reasons apply for E-passes. CP has instructed police personal on duty to be polite in behavior but firm in action.
