Telangana, Hyderabad: In Hyderabad, Bodigadda Sandhya W/O Late Ravi, Age 35 was sentenced to life imprisonment under the POCSO Act for crimes involving forced adultery, illegal confinement, and torture of her own minor daughter. The case, registered under Hayatnagar Police Station, involved multiple charges including sections of the IPC, POCSO Act, and Juvenile Justice Act. The Special Sessions Judge of Rangareddy District, LB Nagar, Ms. Harisha, delivered the verdict on October 24, 2024. The accused was sentenced to life imprisonment, fined Rs.2,96,000, and the victim was awarded a compensation of Rs.12,00,000. Additional Public Prosecutors Ms. Komalatha and Naresh Kumar argued the case.
