<![CDATA[The Institute of Road Transport, Chennai and Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Chennai, held a free Light Motor Training at Taramani on July 29 for the downtrodden and most backward sections and licenses were issued. In a press release from IRT, 480 candidates at Chennai, 240 at IRT, Tiruchirapalli centre and 240 from IRTT (Institute of Road and Transport Technology)– Erode were provided training. P.Kannammal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Chennai (Traffic), was chief guest on the occasion and gave away original licenses to about 40 students from the first batch. V.S.Giridharan, Joint Director, IRT, led the session along with Senior Deputy Manager, Ranganathan and P.J.Jose Patric, Deputy Director. S R Muralidharan, Assistant Director (Training), IRT concluded the session with a vote of thanks, the release said. ]]>
