Vellore: Liquor rides are being carried out throughout the Vellore district on the orders of Vellore District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Pravesh Kumar IPS.
According to the confidential information received by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Arakkonam, Mr. K. Manoharan yesterday (14.10.2019), the Kaveripakkam Police Inspector, Mr. Laxmipathi and the Kaveripakkam police were riding near Mudbudhur and Muttukkam near Ilaracheri. A total of 2000 liters of beer and 10 liters of alcohol were seized at the Kaveripakkam police station. The Arakkonam Deputy Superintendent of Police and the Kaveripakkam Police Inspector are conducting a secret investigation into who did this.
In addition, the Superintendent of Police have issued a warning that if any of the similar activities are involved, stringent action would be taken and the Goondas act would flow.
