Siliguri: At Bagdogra Airport, a poignant incident unfolded involving a 64-year-old gentleman named Khairul Alam, who hails from Rajganj. Having recently completed his sacred Haj yatra and returning from Kolkata, his heart must have been filled with spiritual contentment. However, amidst the flurry of travel, an unfortunate mishap occurred – he lost his precious bag at the airport.
Distressed by the situation, Khairul Alam’s son promptly rushed to the airport’s Operations (OP) desk to seek assistance in recovering his father’s lost belongings. Understanding the gravity of the situation and the sentimental value of the bag, the airport staff took the matter seriously and initiated a thorough verification process.
Once the necessary verification steps were satisfactorily completed, the airport authorities could affirm with certainty that the bag did indeed belong to Khairul Alam. With great empathy and compassion, they then proceeded to hand over the bag to the anxious son, hoping to alleviate the family’s distress and put a comforting end to this worrisome episode.
This small act of kindness and prompt action not only exemplified the dedication of the Bagdogra Police Station but also reaffirmed their commitment to providing aid and support to individuals in distress. As the son left the airport premises, clutching the retrieved bag, he couldn’t help but express his heartfelt gratitude to Sub Inspector Prabir Raha and the police personnel at Bagdogra Police Station for their efficient and compassionate assistance during this trying time. The police’s dedication to serving the community shone brightly through this incident, leaving a positive impact on the lives of the people they vowed to protect and assist.
