Chamoli: On June 16, 2024, a passenger on a bus journey from Haridwar to Karnaprayag discovered a mobile phone that had been left behind. Recognizing the potential distress of the phone’s owner, the passenger responsibly handed it over to Traffic Inspector Manish Verma at the nearest stop. Inspector Verma, known for his meticulous approach to such matters, immediately took on the task of identifying the rightful owner.
He began by carefully examining the phone for any clues, such as contact information or identifiable features. Using his expertise and available technological resources, Inspector Verma traced the owner to Shri Rajendra Singh, a resident of Tharali in the Chamoli district. To ensure the phone’s safe return, he contacted Mr. Singh and verified his ownership.
Arrangements were made for Shri Rajendra Singh to retrieve his phone from the local police station.
