Ludhiana: The Ludhiana police have given a major blow to the smuggling of Pharmaceutical Opioids. The Police have been vigilant and have spotted the smugglers and have successfully prevented the smuggling. Not only have they prevented the smuggling but also the police have seized the smuggled drugs. The Ludhiana police have recovered 1.76 Lakh Codeine Phosphate syrup bottles, 10.3 Lakh Aplrazolam tablets, 14, 400 Tramadol injections from Jaipur.
A part of this consignment was recovered in Ludhiana while being smuggled into Punjab in September. This operation was made successful as the police have made aggressive follow up of leads. This huge recovery is the fruit of the work the police had put into preventing the accused from achieving their goal. The Police said that we are committed to eradicating Drug Menace in Punjab.
