Greater Chennai: On 3.8.2021, while Balamani (F/72) of Madhavaram Milk Colony was walking near Bank Colony Main Road, Madhavaram Milk Colony, 2 persons who came in a two-wheeler snatched her 4 ½ sovereigns gold chain and fled away. In this regard, Balamani lodged a complaint at M-2 Madhavaram Milk Colony Police Station.
A team led by the Inspector of Police (Crime), M-2 Madhavaram Milk Colony Police Station investigated the case and arrested the accused Aadhikesavan (M/19) of Keelkattalai on 18.08.2021. Legal action was pursued against him. Following this, on 21.9.2021, the M-2 Madhavaram Milk Colony police team arrested the absconding accused Jayanthinathan (M/30) of Tambaram. 9 sovereigns of gold jewels were recovered from him. Legal action was pursued against him.
