Madurai, Tamil Nadu, June 6: In view of the scheduled visit of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to Madurai, a security review meeting was held today at Madurai Airport to ensure seamless coordination and preparedness.
The meeting was attended by City Deputy Commissioners of Police – Vanitha, Inigo, and Divyan; Airport Director – Muthukumar; and CISF Commandant – Viswanathan.
The review focused on security arrangements for the Minister’s arrival and movements, especially in connection with his participation in the BJP South District Executive Committee meeting at Othakadai.
As per the itinerary, Shri Amit Shah will arrive in Madurai on June 8 at 8:30 PM via a special flight from Delhi. He will stay overnight at a private guesthouse on Chinthamani Ring Road.
On the morning of June 9, he will offer prayers at the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple, followed by his participation in the BJP meeting at Othakadai.
Madurai Police, CISF, and airport authorities are working in close coordination to ensure tight security and smooth arrangements during the high-profile visit.
