Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Bringing laurels to the Tamil Nadu Police, three police personnel from Madurai District delivered an outstanding performance at the 46th National Masters Athletics Championship held at Thiruvananthapuram from January 28 to February 1, 2026.
Head Constable Mr. Chandru of the Armed Reserve clinched first place in both the 100 metres and the 100 metres relay events, showcasing exceptional speed and fitness. Head Constable Mr. Rajasekar of the Police Control Room secured first place in the 400 metres relay, while First Grade Constable Mr. Peer Mohamed of Melavalavu Police Station won the gold medal in the pole vault event.
Superintendent of Police, Madurai District, Shri B.K. Arvind, IPS, congratulated the achievers for their remarkable success and praised them for bringing pride to the Madurai Police. He noted that their achievements reflect the high standards of discipline, dedication and physical fitness maintained by police personnel.
