Bengaluru: In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the state government has done a major surgery in the police department and issued an order on Monday transferring 13 IPS officers and 40 DySPs.
A large number of police officers are being transferred on the threshold of assembly elections, 13 IPS officers have been transferred .
List of 13 IPS officers transferred

Santhosh Babu-SP, Intelligence Department
Devaraj-DCP, Bangalore North Division DCP
Sirigauri-SP, Internal Security Division
T.P. Shivakumar – SP, KPTCL
H. Shekhar – DCP, Law and Order, Belgaum City
Padmini Saho – Superintendent of Police, Chamarajanagar
Pradeep Gunti – SP, Prison Department M.S. Geetha
– SP, Police Training School, Mysore
Ramarajan – Superintendent of Police, Kodagu
Ravindra Kashinath – DCP, Command Centre, Bangalore
MA Ayyappa – SP, Intelligence Department
The government has also issued an order to transfer 40 DySPs who were working in Bangalore and other parts of the state.
