Bengaluru : The state government has issued an order on Saturday for the promotion and transfer of 53 Indian Police Service officers (IPS) who have undergone a major surgery in the police department.
The government promoted Bangalore City Police Commissioner CH Pratap Reddy to the post of DGP vacated by the retirement of State Fire Brigade and Emergency Services DGP Dr. Amar Kumar Pandey, then promoted Pratap Reddy to the post of Bangalore City Police Commissioner and continued Pratap Reddy in the same position.
Jails Department DGP Alok Mohan has been transferred to the post of Fire Brigade DGP. Similarly, administrative seniority has been made available to 28 SP grade officers including DCP Laxman Nimbaragi of Bangalore City West Division.
North East Zone (Kalburgi) IGP Manish Kharbikar has been promoted as ADGP (Prisons and Correctional Services).
IGP Soumendu Mukherjee has been promoted as ADGP (Communications, Logistics and Modernization in Bangalore) and Central Rank IGP M Chandrasekhar has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru East Zone.
N Satish Kumar, IGP (North Range), has been posted as IGP (North East Range). Bangalore DIG rank Joint Commissioner Raman Gupta has been promoted and transferred as IGP North Zone. CID DIG BR Ravikanthe Gowda has been promoted as IGP, Central Zone.
DIG (Bellari range) BS Lokesh Kumar has been promoted and posted as IGP of the same range.
Five officers, including 2009 batch IPS officers Dr Sharanappa SD, MN Anucheth, Ravi D Channannavar and B Ramesh, have been promoted as DIGs and continue in the same posts.
