Faridkot, Punjab, May 21: In a significant blow to transnational terrorist-gangster networks, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police, in coordination with Faridkot Police, arrested two close associates of foreign-based gangster and designated terrorist Arsh Dalla. The accused, Vishal Singh and Onkar Singh, were apprehended during a targeted operation in the Faridkot area.
The operation led to the seizure of two pistols (.30 bore) and six live cartridges, preventing a potential act of violence. Initial investigations have revealed that Vishal Singh, who was recently released on bail, was actively conspiring to eliminate a rival gang member under instructions from his handlers abroad. He remained in continuous communication with these handlers and was awaiting orders to execute a high-profile crime in Punjab.
The arrest of these individuals marks a critical development in the state’s ongoing crackdown on organized crime and terrorism with international linkages. Both accused are already facing multiple criminal cases, and further investigation is underway to identify additional associates and map their backward and forward criminal linkages.
Punjab Police, under the leadership of DGP Punjab and the AGTF, reiterates its unwavering commitment to dismantling terrorist-gangster networks and ensuring the safety and security of the people of Punjab.
