Hyderabad, Telangana: The International Women’s Day celebrations were held grandly at Srirasthu Convention Hall under the auspices of the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate, with enthusiastic participation from women police officers and staff from various wings of the department.
The event was attended by Avinash Mohanty, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Commissionerate, who interacted with women personnel and enquired about their concerns and workplace challenges. He encouraged them to approach department authorities without hesitation whenever they face difficulties and provided an opportunity for them to directly share their views with him.
Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner highlighted the significance of International Women’s Day and praised the determination and capability of women. He stated that with dedication and commitment, women can achieve success in every field. He also noted that women today are making remarkable progress and competing equally with men across various sectors, while leadership roles for women are increasing across the country.
He further appreciated the role of women personnel in the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate, who are effectively performing duties in Law & Order, Traffic Management, Crime Investigation, and Women Safety wings. Apart from policing responsibilities, they also play a vital role in counseling and supporting victims of domestic violence and other social issues.
During the programme, guest speakers delivered informative sessions on health awareness, diet and nutrition, financial management, and psychology. Several senior officers, DCPs, women police officers, and staff members of the commissionerate participated in the celebrations, making the event a grand success.
