Coimbatore: Following intelligence received by the Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police, they took action to apprehend Satish (34) from Namakkal. Investigations revealed that Satish had orchestrated a scheme to defraud multiple individuals through deceptive advertisements on Facebook and WhatsApp. These ads falsely claimed to facilitate loans via a cash pay app, requiring victims to pay processing fees upfront. Subsequently, law enforcement authorities detained Satish in connection with these fraudulent activities.
