<![CDATA[A sub-inspector was assaulted by a man who claimed to be a journalist. He was arrested by the police on Friday. The accused, Vimaleeswaran, who claimed to be an assistant of a journalist working for a Tamil weekly, came to meet Assistant Commissioner of Police, Nungambakkam. The Sub-Inspector Mr.Gopi told him that the AC was away at a meeting.As the SI left, Mr. Vimaleeswaran apparently picked up a quarrel and manhandled him . The SI was manhandled by Vimaleeswaran.
