In order to enhance security and enforce law and order, a comprehensive initiative was undertaken in Manipur, where a grand total of 128 Nakas/Checkpoints were meticulously installed throughout various districts, spanning both the hilly and valley terrains of the state. These Nakas/Checkpoints served as strategic points of inspection and monitoring, with the primary objective of deterring and detecting any potential violations or unlawful activities.
As a result of these rigorous efforts, the vigilant police force successfully detained a substantial number of 516 individuals. These detentions were made in connection with a wide range of violations, including but not limited to illegal activities, breaches of law, and other nefarious activities that threatened the peace and well-being of the communities residing in different districts of the state.
The deployment of Nakas/Checkpoints, combined with the dedicated efforts of law enforcement personnel, played a crucial role in maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law throughout Manipur. By ensuring a strong presence in various key locations, the authorities effectively minimized the potential for criminal activities, contributing to an overall sense of security and tranquility in the region.
