Telangana: Responding positively to the call given by the State Government and the Police Department, Maoists are increasingly coming into the mainstream of society. As a result of sustained efforts, 509 individuals renounced extremism and returned to normal life during the last year.
Continuing this trend, 20 Maoists have surrendered so far this year, demonstrating growing confidence in the government’s rehabilitation and surrender policy. Notably, the surrendered cadre includes PLGA battalion commander Budse Sukka and state committee member Kanakala Rajireddy, marking a significant development in the efforts to curb left-wing extremism.
The police and administration reaffirmed their commitment to rehabilitation, welfare, and reintegration of those who abandon violence and choose a peaceful path, emphasizing that development and dialogue remain key to lasting peace.
