Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: As part of a strong campaign against drug abuse, a large-scale anti-drug cycle rally was successfully conducted from Payakaraopet to Ichchapuram in the early morning hours, drawing enthusiastic participation from all sections of society.
The program gained prominence with the presence of Union Minister Shri Ramohan Naidu and Home Minister Smt. Anita, who jointly unveiled a commemorative pylon erected within the limits of the Ichchapuram Town Police Station, marking the significance of the anti-drug initiative.
Following the unveiling, Ministers, MLAs, senior police officials, students, and youth participated in a rally from the pylon near the Ichchapuram Town Police Station to the Assembly premises, demonstrating collective resolve against drugs.
On the occasion, awareness against drug abuse was spread through various cultural programs, effectively conveying the message of a drug-free society. At the conclusion of the cycle tour, ministers and dignitaries visited the awareness stalls set up at the Assembly premises, appreciating the efforts taken to educate the public, especially the youth.
The initiative highlighted the strong coordination between the police, administration, public representatives, students, and citizens, reinforcing the commitment to build a healthy, safe, and drug-free society.
