Rachakonda: On Friday, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS has interacted with the Police personnel who are infected with COVID and advised them to take additional precautions besides the following medication as prescribed by the doctors in a virtual conference held at Rachakonda Commissionerate, Neredmet.
During the interaction, CP stated that Rachakonda Commissionerate is taking all initiatives for the staff suffering from COVID and said that all the required assistance like 7 types of Medicines, Dry fruits packs, etc. are being delivered to all affected personnel within 24 hours at their home and through WhatsApp group as well as zoom call. Doctors are monitoring their health round the clock through COVID Control Room. CP stated that free medical treatment is available in TIMS Gachibowli, Gandhi General Hospital and Koti Government Hospital for the Police personnel and also reminded that staff can claim free treatment of rupees up to 1 lakh for them and the family members as per Government G.O.
CP advised the staff to use masks even at home while spending their isolation period. CP advised them to prefer a more liquid diet, practice Pranayama breathing, and take sunlight in the early hours of the morning. CP opined that COVID is inching towards an endemic stage and days are nearer when people need to live with COVID. CP advised everyone to avoid crowded places and strictly follow SMS (Sanitizer, Mask, and Social Distancing). CP reminded about the surge of COVID positive cases and warned everyone to follow COVID guidelines as directed by the government. CP directed the staff to receive precautionary booster dose vaccination that helps everyone from fatalities and hospitalization.
Speaking in the virtual meeting Addl. CP Mr. Sudheer Babu IPS have enquired about the health condition of the staff and advised them to use medicine as prescribed by the doctors. He advised the staff to consult doctors if their children are tested positive and warned them not to follow self-medical treatment. He mentioned that Indians have more immune power than western countries and opined that Indians can recover from COVID easily.
He reiterated the importance of having psychological strength to get over COVID besides using medicine and advised them to add liquid food and Vitamin-C to their daily diet. Besides offering moral support, Addl. CP also gave numerous useful instructions which help to recover from COVID quickly and uttered that all the initiatives are being taken to take care of the staff. He stated that the effects of COVID have reached to endemic level and reminded that many personnel is recovering within three days after testing positive.
Ms. C. Narmada, Addl. DCP admin interacted with the staff and advised them to inform the unit doctors if anyone notices symptoms of illness. Dr. Achyutha Rao, RI Nagaraju Reddy, Estate Officer RI Ravinder have also attended the virtual meeting.
