Siliguri: Today, on 7.5.2022, a Mega Community Service Program was organized by Siliguri Metropolitan Police, in association with North Bengal Merchants Association, at Ila Pal Choudhury School, Mohurgaon, Gulama under Pradhan Nagar Police Station for the esteemed residents belonging to Gulma and Mohurgung Tea Estates.
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri, in the presence of senior police officers and dignitaries of North Bengal Merchants Association lead by Mr. Sanjay Tibrewal.
The program enlisted warm participation of the locals. In the program saris were presented to the women of the locality, study materials to school going children and footballs to the local clubs.
In the Safe Drive Save Life campaign, fluorescent jackets were presented to persons who travel on cycle after work hours and helmets were given to the local persons.
In the blood donation camp, which was held with the support of Rotary club, many units of blood were donated and collected.
The free eye check-up camp was set up with the support of Siliguri Eye Care and Lions Club of Siliguri Greater in which free spectacles were also provided.
The free health check-up camp was set up with the support of North Bengal Medica in which comprehensive health check-up was conducted.
We thank all the organizations who stood with us in supporting this noble cause.
