Shillong, Meghalaya, October 25, 2025: The Meghalaya Police proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its five personnel who excelled at the 3rd Edition of the Tawang International Marathon, held on 24th October 2025 in Arunachal Pradesh.
This prestigious high-altitude marathon, renowned for its challenging terrain and low-oxygen conditions, was jointly organized by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Indian Army, and powered by Cyrunn.
Displaying exceptional endurance, determination, and discipline, Meghalaya Police officers and personnel competed across multiple categories, securing top honours among national and international participants.
Outstanding Achievements
* WPC/1608 Jidalin Tympuin, 3rd MLP Battalion — Gold Medal, Overall 5K Run (Female) — Timing: 25:40 minutes.
* Leading Fireman Badon Sing Tham, Fire & Emergency Service, Sohra — Gold Medal, 10K Run (50–59 years) — Timing: 51:26 minutes.
* Havildar Kolan Swer, Special Force-10 — Silver Medal, 10K Run (40–49 years) — Timing: 51:16 minutes.
* WP/SFC/476 Nangkiewsuki Slong, Special Force-10 — Silver Medal, 10K Run (Female 18–29 years) — Timing: 54:48 minutes.
* Follower Hepstarly Lyngkhoi, West Khasi Hills DEF, Nongstoin — Silver Medal, 5K Run (Male 18–29 years) — Timing: 19:16 minutes.
The commendable performance of these officers reflects the spirit of perseverance, physical fitness, and service excellence that Meghalaya Police embodies.
