Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow: As part of the Mission Shakti campaign, the Northern Zone Anti-Romeo team launched an extensive awareness drive to educate women and girls about their legal rights, personal safety, and various government initiatives designed to protect them from crimes. The campaign focused on empowering women by informing them about self-defense measures, available legal provisions, and the importance of reporting crimes without fear.
During the initiative, the team provided comprehensive details about different helpline services, including emergency contact numbers, women’s safety helplines, and cybercrime reporting mechanisms. They also emphasized the role of law enforcement agencies in ensuring women’s security and offered guidance on how to seek immediate assistance in cases of harassment, stalking, or any form of violence.
Additionally, the campaign highlighted digital safety, educating participants on the risks of cybercrimes such as online harassment, fraud, and identity theft. Women and girls were encouraged to use technology responsibly and report any suspicious activities through designated cybercrime portals.
