Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, a pledge adoption ceremony was held at the District Police Office in the presence of Superintendent of Police V. Prasanna Kumar.
During the event, ministerial staff and police personnel collectively took a pledge to promote and preserve the Tamil language in all spheres of life. The participants resolved to encourage the use of Tamil in official work, sign all documents in Tamil, and promote Tamil names for children.
They further pledged to strive for the widespread use of Tamil across all platforms and to work towards making the richness and uniqueness of the language resonate globally.
The ceremony highlighted the district police’s commitment to honoring linguistic heritage and promoting the cultural significance of Tamil on International Mother Language Day.
