Bhopal: Three new justice-centric laws—the Indian Justice Code, Indian Civil Defense Code, and Indian Evidence Act—will be implemented nationwide starting July 1. The Madhya Pradesh Police is prepared for this rollout. DGP Mr. Sudhir Saxena reviewed the preparations through video conferencing on Wednesday. He mentioned that over 60,000 police officers and employees in the state have received intensive training on the new laws from the training branch. This training has also been extended to constables through the learning management system and online platforms. All FSL officers and employees have been trained as well. The CID has created a comprehensive FAQ, and all three laws have been uploaded to the CCTNS. Detailed tables have been prepared to help understand the new laws in place of the old ones, and these tables are to be available on the mobile phones of every policeman in the state by tomorrow. The complete acts should be available in every police station, and investigating officers should have personal copies.

To implement the new laws, DGP Mr. Saxena emphasized the importance of public awareness. On July 1, programs should be organized in all police stations across the state to educate citizens about the new laws, with a focus on women and children. These programs should also invite youth, students, senior citizens, retired police officers, Anganwadi workers, and members of local village and city defense committees and peace committees. Any queries or problems should be addressed during these events, and experts can be invited to speak.

DGP Mr. Saxena also held individual discussions with ADG/IG, Range DIG, and all Superintendents of Police regarding the preparations for implementing the new laws. He instructed all officers to widely publicize the new laws and ensure detailed knowledge of these laws from constables to senior officers. He urged more intensive field-level training on the new laws in the coming days and encouraged seeking guidance from senior officers if there are any doubts or questions.
