Hyderabad: On 16th December 2021 Mr. Anjani Kumar IPS Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad inaugurated 60 Community CCTV Cameras. These cameras are set up in important areas under the Police Station of Afzalgunj with the help of the Community and under the Nenusaitham program. Small Petty Venders also contributed their part to the installation of CCTV cameras. The program is also attended by Mr. M. Ramesh IPS Jt. CP. East Zone, Mr. Rakesh Jaiswal, Jambagh, ACP Sultanbazar, and SHOs of Afzalgunj and residents were present on the occasion.
Mr. Anjani Kumar IPS CP Hyderabad addressed the gathering that; with the help of people & donors, 60 CCTV cameras have been set up within the Afzalgunj limits. The Commissioner of Police requested Community to come forward to help set up more and more Cameras.
The crime rate was brought under control by setting up CCTV cameras. Any kind of criminal case can be easily solved by CCTV cameras. Each single CCTV camera is equivalent to 100 policemen. We may get tired but the cameras are constantly working. Hyderabad City has 16000 police personnel, and Hyderabad City has a population of 1.2 crores. All kinds of facilities are set up in the police department with people paying the tax. In the past, many policemen worked hard to catch a single thief and many teams were formed, but now with a single CCTV camera, the case can be solved easily. In the past, the cost involved was very high and the people had to spend more money. Now the cost of case investigation with CCTV cameras has been greatly reduced.
There are about 5000 traffic junctions in the city of Hyderabad. It is not possible to deploy police at all junctions. Then even these 16000 thousand policemen will not be enough. So COP fewer junctions were set up in the city. In the police department, our Chief Minister has given 30 percent reservation to women. So the number of women in the police department will increase. The image of the police department is much better than before. People have the same responsibility as we have in every case detection. Traffic rules among the people should be followed as in other countries and change should come in them. CCTV cameras maintain peace and security in our city.
