Hyderabad City: A slew of instructions were issued by CP Mr. CV Anand during the meeting regarding setting up of idols, intimation forms and immersion of Plaster of paris idols and clay idols, the procession routes and precautions. With some of the SHO s and DCPs being fresh to the city police and doing this bandobust for the first time, the CP and his staff officers spent lot of time in explaining the various aspects of the preparatory works for the biggest event in the HCP calendar. Speaking at the meeting, the CP said that “all the festivals since January of various communities were conducted peacefully despite the huge turnout of crowds post COVID, and so were so many other programs and events. Those were all quarter finals and semi-finals , Ganesh bandobust is the finals and I am sure you will all rise to the occasion and do equally well “
CP Anand said that the organizers must intimate the concerned SHOs about setting up of idol and obtain permission. Instructions were given to immerse POP idols at baby/artificial ponds. Clarity was given regarding the court orders and the efforts made till date and the Khairatabad Ganesh committee agreeing to use clay for its idol and how to go about implementing it in conjunction with GHMC and other departments. There will be coordination meetings with the organizers of these mandapams at every level to decide about the installation so as not to inconvenience general public. Power, water, barricading etc. will be discussed.
The peace committee members should be actively involved and precautions should be taken for watching social media and mischievous posts.
