Himachal Pradesh: Mr. Sanjay Kundu IPS, 1989 batch, IPS officer has taken over as new Director-General of Police (DGP) of Himachal Pradesh on 30.05.2020 succeeding Mr. Sita Ram Mardi IPS who is the outgoing DGP. He is a graduate of the National Defence College, India, and Harvard University where he completed programs on “International Security and Strategy”.
Mr. Sanjay Kundu is a 1989-Batch IPS officer and he had worked with the state and central governments as well as the United Nations as police commissioner, where he had worked on human rights and national capacity building.
The Himachal Pradesh Police gave the new DGP their heartiest congratulations. We are proud and wish you a glorious tenure.
